EXERCISE IS A CELEBRATION OF WHAT YOUR BODY CAN DO. NOT A PUNISHMENT FOR WHAT YOU ATE.

“EXERCISE IS A CELEBRATION OF WHAT YOUR BODY CAN DO. NOT A PUNISHMENT FOR WHAT YOU ATE.”

Movement of the body is essential as a human being..

But some of us are on the extreme side of over-exercising, and need to find our way back to what balanced movement looks like..

Developing a HEALTHY relationship with exercise is essential along with a healthy relationship with our body and food as well..

Moving your body should be fun! However, when we correlate exercise with something we just have to do because we ate “more than usual”, “to burn off calories”, “to be able to love ourselves”, “to be able to look like that person on social media”, or whatever… it becomes a miserable chore summoned from hell. NOT what we want!

It should be because we are human beings with the physiology built to move and play and dance and do cartwheels and swim and go for a bike ride on the beach or go on a hike..

Finding “your fitness”, something you enjoy doing that gets the heart pumping and is fun at the same time, is the way to go!! It will change your life, your health and your mood on the daily when you enjoy moving your body! Do this rather than forcing yourself to go to the gym, do headstands for yoga, run miles, lift weights, if you absolutely dread doing it every time.. .

There’s SO many ways to move our body…the list is never ending! So, find the outlets that resonate with YOU, and stop doing something you dread because that’s what Bob and Martha are doing at the gym, on YouTube or telling you to do…

Today was rest and stretch day for me! It was MUCH needed after the workouts this week and felt so amazing! Yes, YOU NEED a rest day each week. It is vital to allow your body to recover and your muscles to repair themselves to be able to continue growing and progressing. Plus, you don’t want to overtrain and hurt yourself! So now I am all stretched out and ready for week 3 of MMA style fighting! Bring it on!
