Are you tired of food or your weight running and controlling your every day life?  Of not having “control” or “willpower” or not being able to trust yourself with it? Are you over looking in the mirror only to belittle and scrutinize every little part of your body because it is not the “perfect picture” you dream of or told it should be?  Are you working out like crazy and eating right but still not getting the results you want? Are you sick of chronic and yo-yo dieting? Are you stuck in the restrict, over exercise, binge cycle and can’t figure out how to get out? NO WORRIES. You have come to the right place! I can help. I have been EXACTLY where you are.

Our relationships with food and body can be doorways that create awareness, understanding, and true healing. So many times we focus on the outside to supply us joy and acceptance; seeking answers that seem to disappoint or hold us in fear, sadness, and anger. We experience enthusiasm and hope in the next best diet and exercise plan, only to be followed by failure when we do not live up to expectations. Our excruciating cycle of restriction, followed by what we may see as “out of control,” goes on and on and on. It seems as though we sink further into a hole, the light consequently further away; the door seemingly closing.

Our eating challenges and body obsessions are asking us to stop looking outside, and instead find the keys inside because WHAT YOU EAT IS ONLY HALF OF THE STORY.

You have been lied to your entire life! How so you ask? We live in a society that says that we need obtain a certain body look, weight, eat restrictively, and eat only “good” foods in order to be worthy, accepted and “healthy”. Guess what? That is the farthest from the truth!

We are all purposely and uniquely created to show off all different shapes and sizes. Each of our bodies and souls flourishes on different foods, exercise and hobbies. So when someone tells you to eat “this way” or “workout like this” because it worked for them…it most likely won’t work for you! Start to TUNE INTO and LISTEN to YOUR BODY and do what is right for YOU.

Oh, and I don’t believe in diets AT ALL. ANTI-DIETS all the way. I truly believe that diets are a main issue as to why so many individuals suffer with food, body, disordered eating, eating disorders and daily unhappiness.

To find freedom around food, body and fitness, we must first start on the inside and work out. You need to love yourself NOW and not when you achieve some future goal or when you reach XX pounds. By starting on the inside and accepting yourself in the present, life changing and sustainable breakthroughs can be made. That is when goals are reached and even over shot. You will become your best self and live a life of true happiness and fulfillment. Oh and be free from the 24/7 food police, self sabotaging body comments, and more time to make memories instead of slaving away at the gym.

I’m Marci Christensen—a Certified Eating Psychology Coach and Nutrition Expert. I am Anti-Dieting, pro Intuitive Eating, and a supporter of HAES (Health At Every Size). I help women “redefine” their relationship to food, body, and fitness.  They learn how to recognize their own Food and Body Stories that keep them stuck, stressed and/or scared, while teaching new ways to eat and live that nourish from the inside out.
